The Borneo Incident

Is a documentary style feature film about a group of friends who travel from New York City to the island of Borneo via Malaysia in search of one of the group members relatives. The five friends disappeared during the winter months of 2011. There passport records indicate they entered Malaysia in December 2011. There has been speculation they crossed the border to Indonesia on the island of Borneo using a rarely crossed river and traversing a jungle trail, due to video footage that recently turned up in the City of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia in February 2012. The missing persons are Henry Golding, Fay Hokulani, Mitchell Ross, Robert Gilliland and Michael Helfman who was documenting the trip. When received part of the footage was unusable, however, forensic experts from the Malaysian Royal Police were able to salvage 76 minutes of the 50 hours of footage shot by Michael Helfman. This footage has become known as The Borneo Incident.
