Serena Hicks

Serena Hicks, born 1978, is an American television producer, event planner and public relations consultant based in New York City.
Biography
In 1999, before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in the school’s newly created “Bachelor of Science in Public Relations,” Hicks left for NY to work as production assistant for MTV’s “Choose or Lose” 2000. Hicks returned to Texas to get her degree then immediately went back to NY late in 2001 to work as the Series Associate Producer for the award-winning MTV True Life documentary series.
While working for True Life, Hicks met humorist Tucker Max who has written about her multiple times in his highly popular blog as well as in his New York Times Best Seller, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.
From the True Life series Serena moved to the MTV Events Department. During that time she co-produced launch parties including the 1st televised Hugh Hefner Playboy Mansion parties as well as Dave Chappelle's 2nd season launch celebration.
In 2003, Hicks was featured on the CBS news report about dating in New York City; and in 2007, Hicks left television production to focus on integrating brands into television, film and Broadway productions. HICKSabella Media Group is her events, brand visibility, and Public relations agency.
