The Anonymous Rudy S.

The Anonymous Rudy S. is a 2012 psychological drama from Canada starring David Schaap as the anonymous title character who, for over a year, sends video-recorded “letters” to the hostess (Patricia Stasiak) of a yoga-instruction program at his local public-TV station in the hope of eventually winning her heart. Although he may initially seem to be the most alienating of heroes, "Rudy S." is not unlike anyone who simply desires to make some kind of contact with another person.
Currently in post-production, The Anonymous Rudy S. is the third feature film from director B. P. Paquette. It was produced by Jason Ross Jallet as a co-production between Nortario Films and Ourson Films.
Festival Recognition and Commercial Release in Theatres
In the autumn of 2010, The Anonymous Rudy S. was presented as a work-in-progress in the First Cut program at Cinéfest.
The Anonymous Rudy S. will premiere on, and travel thoughout, the international film festival circuit in 2012.
A commercial release in theatres across Canada is scheduled for 2013.
Triptych on The Psychology of Romantic Love
The Anonymous Rudy S. is the third and final panel in Paquette's triptych on "the psychology of romantic love." The first panel is A Year in the Death of Jack Richards (2004), which was followed by the second panel The Woman of Ahhs (2008).
