Sudath Gunasekera

Dr Sudath Gunasekera is a Consultant Clinical Neuro Physiologist in Sri Lanka.
Education
Sudath who was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo later got qualified as a medical professional holding MBBS, MD Doctor of Medicine, FRCP (London) and FCCP.
Sri Lanka's first Clinical Neuro Physiologist
Dr Gunasekera who is Sri Lanka's first Clinical Neuro Physiologist is also the first Consultant Neuro Physiologist at National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Colombo NHSL when it was first opened in year 2000. It is the only such unit in the country providing comprehensive neurophysiology services to patients with various neurological as well as non-neurological disorders.
Other work
Dr Sudath Gunasekera is the current President of the Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists patroned by Dr J. B. Peiris.
Dr Sudath is also the former Secretary of Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists, Member National Polio Surveillance Committee, Member Specialty Board in Neurology PGIM.
