Steven L. Thorsen

Steven L Thorsen (also known professionally as SL and Thorsen); born September 11, 1953) is a Modern Contemporary Native American painter. He is known for his fluid, and bold expressions of color in his paintings.
Thorsen's artwork appeared on the cover of the 2003 Reservation Economic Summit & American Indian Business Trade Fair Business Directory.
In 2003 Thorsen's paintings were auctioned for charity at the Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles, California, for the tribute to Bono of the rock band U2. The following year, Thorsen attended the 2004 Grammy Awards honoring Sting as the MusiCares Person of the Year. Thorsen's art work was auctioned at the 50th Grammy Awards on February 8, 2008. His painting Blue Lady was featured in the Tribute Journal honoring Aretha Franklin. She was awarded the title of MusiCares Person of the Year. More recently Thorsen also gave tribute toNeil Diamond in 2009, as MusiCares Person of the Year where again his art worked appeared in the tribute journal.
