Standard Typographical Unit

Standard Typographical Unit, also known as STU, is a unit used for measuring the length of written assignments at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
One STU is equal to any character used in a document and also includes punctuation marks, commas and 'spaces'. One standard page should usually contain 1,800 STUs.
This unit is created solely for usage in this education institution and is often the cause of major confusion, since there remains no written records explaining this unit. Not even the official website, let alone the students' intranet hold any information about the STU. Foreign exchange students often get confused, since this unit compares to other international measurements, but is known under a name only used at CBS.
