SQL View Pte Ltd. (SQLview) provide solutions that address the needs in managing information and work processes using technologies in records management, workflow and imaging. SQL View provides products and services to mostly government and regulatory agencies in Singapore.

It develops solution to help organizations manage their flow of information by transforming raw data, e.g. transaction records and correspondences, into information that is presented in a specified format and timely manner. Features such as authentication and security can be incorporated into the application.

Founded in 1992 by Mr Stephen Lim, SQL View is one of the pioneers in the growing market of Knowledge Management and Records Management (RM) in Singapore and the region. The company delivers enterprise strength, knowledge and document management solutions to meet today's e-business demands.

History
Incorporated in 1992, SQL View started out as a distributor of client/server technology. It also developed Graphical user interface and object-oriented development.

In 1994, it successfully implemented the enterprise imaging and document project for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.

In 1997, SQL View won a government contract to develop the Electronic Registry System (ERS) - a Document management system (DMS) - to automate registry functions.It was implemented in six government agencies in five ministries, including the , the and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

In 1999, the Government of Singapore granted SQL View full rights to commercialize the Electronic Registry System (ERS) project and launch the derived product now known as

In 2001, SQL View collaborated with the National Archives of Singapore (NAS) and Kodak Singapore to jointly develop an Electronic Archiving System (EAS). The EAS is an electronic system used for transfer physical and electronic records to an archiving authority.

In 2003, the company reached a cross-licensing agreement with the - probably the first in the local IT industry - that allowed SQL View to commercialize the Electronic Registry System (ERS) it developed for and which was funded by the Government, for sale to the private sector.

In May 2006, SQL View received funding from The Enterprise Challenge to pilot an automatic electronic filing system at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore. The Enterprise Challenge (TEC) is an initiative by the Prime Minister's Office to create opportunities for innovative ideas that can contribute to the public service. The automatic filing system, KRIS Intelligent Filer, uses Artificial intelligence to manage electronic documents. The system 'reads'the documents to determine their content and context and recommends classification schemes to file the documents for accurate search and retrieval purpose. During the pilot phase, the system will be used by a selected group of staff. A successful trial can pave the way for better search and retrieve of information.

Products and Services

SQL View's products are built to capture, manage and preserve the evidential value of corporate records. According to Stephen Lim, CEO of SQL View, when electronic records are not managed and archived properly, they can get misplaced or lost. This leads to loss of valuable corporate knowledge and evidence.
