Founded in 1985 in Berlin Germany, SAPERION AG has been developing software solutions for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, that brings archiving, document management and workflow functionality together in one system. Along with the European headquarters in Berlin and additional competence centers in Germany, SAPERION has subsidiaries in Great Britain, North America, Switzerland and Singapore.
SAPERION’s software platform offers the following Enterprise Content Management features: Capturing (Scanning & OCR), Imaging, COLD, Electronic Signature, Document Management, Archiving, Business Process Management/Workflow Management, email and Records Management. Interfaces to Microsoft Office, Outlook and MOSS, IBM Notes, SAP R/3, Navision, BaaN and others allow to store and retrieve documents to and from SAPERION within these user interfaces.

Trivia
The name Saperion is also a species of Arthropods in the Kingdom Animalia.
Phylum Arthropoda are the largest phylum of animals and include the insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and others.
The earlier logo was derived from the fossil from such a crustaceans.
