Spotware Systems Ltd (formerly cTrader Ltd) is a City of London based neutral technology provider, specializing in e-FX ECN solutions for brokers and banks.
History
The company was founded in London in 2010. Their first trading platform, cTrader, was launched later that year and in April 2011, FxPro became the first e-FX broker to adopt cTrader and subsequently cAlgo (Spotware’s algorithmic trading platform) to their offering.
Spotware Systems Overview
Spotware’s stated aim in introducing ECN trading to the e-FX market is to bring an increased level of transparency and efficiency, and deliver advantages currently held by financial institutions to individual traders.

FIX Protocol Membership
FIX Protocol is an industry-driven messaging standard for trade-related electronic communication.
Spotware Systems Ltd (formerly known as cTrader Ltd) has been a FIX Protocol member since November 2011. FIX Protocol enables Spotware to offer adapters to all major ECNs, plugging brokers and their clients directly into the liquidity stream.
While 75% of buy-side and 80% of sell-side firms currently use FIX for electronic trading, it is also developing a key role within the post trade space, with over 80% of buy-side firms and over 95% of sell-side firms currently supporting or planning to support FIX.
Wide FIX protocol adoption and use enables Spotware Systems Ltd to offer its clients FIX adapters to all major ECNs and liquidity providers.
