Little golden records

Little Golden Records was a record label based in New York. It was founded by the Grammy-Award winning children's music producer, Arthur Shimkin (Sesame Street Records) in 1948. It was the first children's music label of it's kind to combine story with melody. Little Golden Records was the music that accompanied Little Golden Books.

The label is mainly remembered for its children's music releases during the 1950s. The music included classic nursery rhymes, fairy tales, Christmas tunes & other Holiday jingles, nature,Bible stories and an extensive collection of educational songs. Little Golden Records featured voice from celebrity tie-ins Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, Alfred Hitchcock, Captain Kangaroo and many, many more.
