Simon Polhill was born 17th of June 1983 in Wollongong hospital in NSW Australia. He started playing bass in 1995 at the age of 12. Simon named, and was a founding member of Brisbane traditional metal band Metallurgy which formed in 2003. After continuing back problems, Simon left Metallurgy in December 2003 to have spinal surgery. After playing a one off show with former band Metallurgy at an OzProg benefit gig in July 2007, Simon was recruited by Brisbane heavy metal band . Between bands, Simon released his debut solo EP Serial. All music and lyrics on the EP were written by Simon except guitar solos. Mav Stevens, Tim Yatras and Lord Tim played on Serial. Simon and Sedition are currently working on Sedition's new album "Blessed are the Blind', which should be released early 2008. |
