Text2Speech is an Open Source, Speech Synthesis program. Development of Text2Speech began in 2005 using the Visual Basic programming language. Development stopped for almost a year before a complete rewrite of the program was made. After several successful beta releases the first stable version of Text2Speech was released in November 2006.
