Siddharth Bishnoi, is State Spokesperson for the Indian Youth Congress, Haryana and is also the Vice President of AIPC for Ambala. Siddharth Bishnoi is a community activist and founder of the Ch. Bhajan Lal Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of those in Indian society by focusing on education, empowerment and the environment. Prior to this, he worked as a Management Consultant in London. He is the son of Chander Mohan Bishnoi, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana State, and grandson of Ch. Bhajanlal Bishnoi, former Union Cabinet Minister (Agriculture; Environment & Forests) and three-time Chief Minister of Haryana. Early life and education Siddharth did his schooling from St. Johns High School, Chandigarh. Siddharth earned his International Baccalaureate from Fettes College, Edinburgh, UK and his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK. Siddharth is fluent in Hindi, English, and Punjabi and can also speak basic Spanish. Career Siddharth is the Founder-Chairman of the Ch. Bhajan Lal Foundation. He established the foundation in memory of his late grandfather, Ch. Bhajan Lal. The objective of the foundation is to promote Education, Environment, and Empowerment in Haryana. The foundation signed up more than 5000 volunteers from target areas in less than 3 months. Siddharth, through the Ch. Bhajan Lal Foundation organized and led a 500 km ‘clean air’ cycle rally across over 200 villages with over 50 daily volunteers and planted over 10,000 trees in the Kalka and Panchkula constituencies. He interacted with the villagers and understood the current day problems of the people living there. Siddharth also led a team of forty people and campaigned in Luni (for Mahender Bishnoi), Sangria (for Shabnam Godara), Peeli Bunga (for Vinod Othwal) , etc. Siddharth was also part of the receiving party for Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji during the Hanumangarh rally. He was among few young leaders who have been appointed as a star campaigner in Rajasthan assembly elections by Indian National Congress. Siddharth is also an active member of the Akhil Bhartiya Bishnoi Mahasabha, the governing council responsible for promoting and maintaining Bishnoi values and culture as well as administering and managing religious sites and events of the Bishnoi community. Personal life He is married to Shatakshi Singhania who is the trustee and co-founder of the Ch. Bhajan Lal Foundation and has done her Masters in Management from London Business School. He is the eldest of three siblings. However, Siddharth’s brother, Mohit Bishnoi, passed away on March 7, 2008, due to muscular dystrophy.
