Sandi Saksena

Sandi Saksena (born July 8, 1952) is an Indian entreneur based in Dubai, who focuses on empowering women through financial independence.
Early life
Saksena was born in Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. In 1959, at the age of 7, Saksena moved to Kuwait, where her father worked from 1959 until 1981. In 1981, Saksena went back to India and finished school at St Mary's Convent Kanpur.
Education
Saksena graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women with a bachelor's degree in history.
Career
After graduating from university, Saksena got married and had two children and lived in Kuwait and Bahrain for several years before moving to Dubai, UAE. In 1996, at the age of 44, a dire financial situation prompted Saksena to join Nexus, the largest financial advisory in the GCC, despite her lack of previous work experience. Since 1996, Saksena has worked with Nexus and Echelon Advisors and Management Consultants, where she provides products for financial security for women and SMEs. In addition to giving seminars and workshops, Saksena also speaks at conferences, counsels people and writes for different TV publications and radios shows that focus on financial independence, especially for women.
Recognition
She serves as permanent trustee of the Manzil Center for Individuals with Special Needs in Sharjah.

She is on the advisory board of CEO Club's Business Women's Division, which provides programs and networking opportunities for female members in the UAE in 16 other countries around the world.
