Rory Conroy

Rory Conroy is a musician and actor who was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1979. His first break into acting came in 2004 when he was cast as Chris Aherne, a character on Irish soap opera Fair City. Conroy's character was short lived, but proved a fan favourite in various opinion polls in 2004. Although Conroy made his name initially as an actor, music has always been his true passion. Conroy had spent many years in a Dublin based rock band called L.T.D. (Lemons Try Danger) but the band split in 2003 due to musical conflicts. In 2005 Conroy decided to form a new band, a band he claimed: "will be nothing like you have ever heard before". This experimental band, entitled "Centipede on the Roof" began to acquire as many members as possible and continues to grow. Conroy's main musical partner in Centipede on the Roof is multi-instrumentalist Dan Force. Together Conroy and Force have penned over 60 songs for Centipede on the Roof's forthcoming debut album, "Turn it up! Throw it out! Here it is!", however Conroy has stated that only 15 of these songs will make the final cut.
