Antonino Castrone is the University Director for Aalborg University, 2014-present. His main task, As University director, is administration of Aalborg University. He counsels the university rector and board in the administrative performance and development of the university, and provides the employees with development of their competencies. In his spare time, Antonino Castrone practices long distance runs and has form 1986-2015 accomplished 31 marathons. Education & Positions Antonino Castrone graduated at the Danish Niels Steensens gymnasium in 1980 and became subsequently Language Officer in the Danish military from 1980-1982. In 1982-1985 Antonino Castrone worked at the Danish Embassy in Moskva, Russia. In 1985, he finished as pilot student for the Danish military air force. He then was an employee at the Danish National Police until 1993. In 1993, Antonino Castrone finished his cand.polit. at Copenhagen University as well. From 1993-2000 Antonino Castrone was economist and head of the Corporate Finance department at A.P.Moeller-Maersk. During this employment Antonino Castrone received his Master of Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School in 1999. In 2000, Antonino Castrone was promoted to Chief Accountant at A.P.Moeller-Maersk Technical Organization, and again in 2005 to chief financial officer for the A.P.Moeller-Maersk Eastern Europe region. In 2007, Antonino Castrone was employed at Copenhagen University as Vice- and Economy director until 2014. In 2014, he received his Master in Organization Psychology from Roskilde University. In 2014, Antonino Castrone achieved his current position as University Director at Aalborg University.
