Robert MacNiven

Robert Donald MacNiven (born March 5, 1992) is British writer of science fiction, horror and military fantasy, blogger and student based in Edinburgh.
Early life
MacNiven was born on March 5, 1992 in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness to Donald MacNiven and Jessica Taylor. He has 3 elder sisters and while not studying resides in Strathpeffer in the North of Scotland. His father is a retired soldier and he and Jessica both run a bed and breakfast in their hometown of Strathpeffer as well as fostering children.
Education
MacNiven attended Strathpeffer Primary School and graduated from Dingwall Academy in 2010. He is currently studying for a PhD in History and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh.
Career
An accomplished article writer during his University tenure, MacNiven has written various short stories both freelance and under contract with the Games Workshop. He is currently writing his first feature length novel based on the Warhammer series which will also feature a tie in novella, released at some point in 2016. Among other recognitions, MacNiven has won the Jukepop Serials award for Biannual Winner and 1000+ votes for his short stories.
