Natalie Tinti (Born in 1999) is a California born children's author. Personal Life and Career Tinti resides in Southern California with her parents and three older siblings. At a young age, teachers diagnosed Tinti with a learning disability due to her inability to remember certain words. She ended up repeating Kindergarten as a consequence. It turned out she didn't have such a disability, rather she was more focused on the interpersonal relationships around her, wondering why some of her peers had friends, while others did not. This observation spawned a passion for writing, which lead to her 2009 release of Sewing a Friendship. According to the author's website she currently studies in California at the Orange County School of Arts, and Visual Art Conservatory. Sewing a Friendship Series & Other Upcoming Books Sewing a Friendship is about 5 young girls who must become friends and work together, with the help of a mysterious grandmother, and a one of a kind dog. It marked the start of Natalie Tinti's writing career, and was promoted by a series of speaking events which the author held. The book won numerous awards, including the Mom's Choice Award. On November 20th, 2012 it was announced via the Author's website, the second installment in the Sewing a Friendship Series would be released in February 2013. The release states the book is to be called Sewing a Friendship 2: The Magic in Us. In an interview with blogger Robert Erich she stated she has written a parenting guide. She also stated in this interview she has a backlog of 10 books in the Sewing a Friendship series waiting to be published.
