The Five Keys of the Sphinx

The Five Keys of the Sphinx is a fantasy novel written by young author Joseph Piraino. Published in December, 2006, the book contains 168 pages.
The book follows Katie-Anne, an archaeologist, as she desperatly tries to protect the world from the mythical animals, which were accidentally released when she visited the Sphinx statue in Egypt.


Synopsis

Up until now, people have always been interested in Mythical Animals. When Katie-Anne, an almost eccentric archaeologist finds a mysterious folder on her desk, a whole world of myths begins to unfold. Only Katie-Anne has the skills to stop the evil of the malevolent Manticore from spreading and stealing a once long guarded and ancient power.


Sequel

In an informal interview at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln (where Piraino studies), Piraino has revealed he has almost finished writing the sequel. He has also stated that there will be four books in the series.
