Trad rock

The uprising again the popularity of Electronic House music and the late ‘80s gooviness, a new genre called traditional rock became popular, its somewhat influenced by rock and roll and rhythm and blues. The mentality of the ‘70s rockers like Status Quo and well known ‘60s bands like Oasis and Travis brought the meat back into rock. Songs were composed by working class kids who loved the amazing artists like Neil Young and John Lennon. Even though upper class, art school bands such as Blur and Suede were often put in the same class of music, these bands were fierce rivals. Few notable British Trad Rock artists/bands: Stereophonics, Addict, Primal Scream, Gomez, Cast, Heavy Stereo. Few notable American Trad Rock artists/bands: The Georgia Satellites, Lenny Kravits, Pearl Jam, Salim Nourallah, The Black Crows, Kings of Leon. |
