Astriga Film Industry A.K.A Astrigawood is a regional film industry in India which was formed in 2003. The Film Industry at first, faced severe problems but today is very much popular. This industry is smallest in terms of area but largest in the ticket sales. During the last two years, it has tremendously popularised and grown.Astrigawood officially began on January 16, 2003 with the hands of Rati Agnihotri in the DadaSaheb Gaikwad Sabhagrubh,Nashik. Babbka was the first Astrigawood film which was released on September 19, 2003. The film grossed $400 overall and recieved well critical reviews. The Astriga Film Industry lanched its official radio station-RADIO MASTI 97.5 MHz and official website-Astrigawoodhungama.com on February 23,2007.
Origin Initially. In 2002, In India ,Bollywood was making its popularity over Indians. The people of Bhabhanagar area of Nashik were also great fans of Hindi Film Industry and had a desire to start a film industry of thier own. But due to land problems,it was denied. Ashok Sonawane- A trader in Bhabhanagar stepped forward a way to start a Film Industry. He decided to make a first inter-regional film-Babbka. Babbka was released in 2003 and was a hit film. Thus the Astriga Film Originated. Etymology The name Astriga means Three Lands in Sanskrit. It was derived from the first building of Nashik city-Astriga Mahal.
