Alexa Leigh Corbett
In Brief History: Born December 12, 1990 in Long Beach, Ca.
Published author at only age 18, she then went on to publish a second poetry book before her second semester of college. Currently, as of March 2010, she is in the process of writing her third poetry book and first novel. She currently is attending Northern Arizona University and is a BioMed Major, Her first poetry book was influential in that at such a young age, she managed to accomplish so much.
Education:
Alexa Leigh Corbett is a pioneer in the realm of poetry. Not only is Alexa dyslexic and have ADHD, </sup> but she also
did not learn to read until she was ten years old. She needed to repeat the third grade, but that was only because she
"was too young" according to the educational board. It is a story of triumph through the ages, as a young and quite shy girl
whom was illiterate developed into a successful poet who could one day revolutionize the aspect of literature pertaining to poetry.

"The Id: The Art of Being Human" : Published October 28, 2009. This first anthology be the eccentric Alexa Leigh Corbett was created for the sole purpose of giving her deceased brother a proper acknowledgment to creativity and tribute to the "gifted mind." June 15, 2009, Andrew Clark Corbett passed away around 10:20 p.m. due to a drug overdose by use of Heroin. Alexa was devastated and felt she needed to do something for the brother who taught her so much about life. Alexa had a stack of poetry she "wrote as a therapy" and decided she was okay showing the world "her diary" as long as her brother got the dedication page he deserved. When she got her first copy of the book, she told her old high school that she "cried, just cried" because it seemed to be just right. The book has been quite successful, selling out on amazon twice within its first year on sale. The
"The Life Ever After" : Second poetry book written by the famed Alexa Leigh Corbett, this new view on life and love through prose gives insight to a romantic world long forgotten. Under the direction of PublishAmerica the book is set to be released sometime after spring 2010, most likely in the late summer or early fall. Not too much can be released regarding this second book, as the content seems to be guarded and until the book is due to be revealed later this year.
Future Books: Alexa plans to write more books, she is currently in the process of writing her third poetry book and is deep into her first novel, when these will be completed or even released remains unknown at the current time.

Background
Alexa has grown up all over the country, and knows of many hometowns. Plymouth, MN. Westwood, MA. Weston, FL. Laguna Niguel, CA. San Clemente, Ca. She was almost born in Tokyo, Japan, but instead her mother, Trudy Corbett, gave birth in the U.S. When Alexa reached sixteen days old, the family moved back to Japan for the next three years. She is an avid equestrian often "choosing her man over any guy" and the "man" is reference to a gelding whom she loves dearly. She took up riding around eight years old and has been doing so for the past eleven years.
