Rick Asadoorian

Eric A. "Rick" Asadoorian (born July 23, 1980 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is a pitcher in Minor League Baseball.
A graduate of Northbridge High School in Northbridge, Massachusetts, Asadoorian was a first-team High School All-American as an outfielder in 1999 and was the 1999 Massachusetts State Gatorade Player of the Year. He was selected in the first round of the 1999 MLB Draft Appearing in 12 games for High A Sarasota Reds with a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings and in 37 games for Chattanooga, managing a 3.59 ERA in 52.2 innings pitched.
He was signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers in December, 2007 and assigned to the Double-A Jacksonville Suns for the 2008 season. He was 4-4 with the Suns with a 6.75 ERA before being released on June 4.
Asadoorian signed with the independent Somerset Patriots in June 2008 and helped lead the team to the Atlantic League championship later that season. He pitched 23.2 innings over 18 games, all in relief, while striking out 28, walking 16, and logging a 3.42 ERA.
