Richard James Stringer

Richard James Stringer is a video journalist and TV presenter for On the south coast of the UK.
He can be seen reporting on local stories with a quirky or tech based interest, such as the only man licensed to make scale replicas of the Gerry Anderson puppets or using Lego in learning.

This would be a major factor when applying for university and so instead of performing arts, Richard would take media Production at the University of Winchester.
While at university Richard would add to his media experience by teaming up with classmates to film, edit and sell DVD's of home games for the Basingstoke Bison ice hockey team.
Professional career
After university, Richard would hold a sales job until starting his own company creating web videos for franchise groups.
After a 4-month sabbatical to work at a summer camp in America, Richard would return looking for a new challenge, and applied for an offscreen role with That's TV.
For several months he would be the editor of a BBC i-Player programme called Digital Nation, where he would work on 13 episodes over the course of the series.
When that contract came to an end, Richard was asked to join the news team at That's Solent.
