Randall D. Isaac is a solid-state physics research scientist, and retired IBM executive. He is currently serving as the executive director of the evangelical Christian American Scientific Affiliation. Isaac worked for IBM as President of Systems Technology and Science at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights. In 1998 he was a finalist of Discovers Computer Hardware & Electronics Technology Award for heading an IBM team that made innovative use of microscopic copper wires in electronic chips, which innovation Isaac later told the New York Times would allow a "significantly increase the speed of commercial microprocessors." Isaac views his scientific discoveries as leading to an increased belief in a creator. In 2005 he became the executive director of the American Scientific Affiliation.
