Randall A. Robinson

Randall Robinson (born June 25, 1964) is an African American Diplomat. He was first appointed as an untenured diplomat by President George W. Bush in 2004, and reappointed as a fully tenured diplomat by President Barack Obama in 2008.
Biography
Randall Robinson is a physician, U.S. Army veteran, a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), and a U.S. Diplomat. He joined the U.S. Department of State after serving as a physician in private practice in Arizona, specializing naturopathic medicine where he combined conventional and alternative medicine in a family practice setting. While in Arizona, he was also a City of Mesa Commissioner for Human Relations; Commissioner for Museum and Cultural Affairs; and on the Board of Directors for the Cancer Resource Network, an affiliation of the National Cancer Institute. He was also the Executive Director of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association from 2002 to 2004. He was awarded the honor of Arizona Naturopathic Physician of the Year in 2003.
In his career with the U.S. State Department, Randall Robinson has served as a Consular Affairs Officer and Economic and Scientific Affairs Officer at American Embassy Guatemala City, lead Political Officer and Science Officer at American Embassy Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Oceans, International Environmental, and Scientific Affairs. Currently he is assigned to the State Department's Office of Marine Conservation in Washington, D.C., and has represented the U.S. at international gatherings around the world.
Randall Robinson has received many awards and letters of appreciation from Congressmen, Ambassadors and community leaders.
Randall Robinson holds an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Saint Philips College, Texas, in collaboration with the United States Army Academy of Health Science; Bachelor of Arts in International Studies/ Biology from the University of South Alabama; Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Arizona; and a post graduate Diploma in Journalism for the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
