Kaylene Gebert

Kaylene A. Gebert is an American academic, currently serving as the provost and executive vice president at Middle Tennessee State University, a university of 23,000 students in the suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee.

Her undergraduate degree is from Hanover College, with a double major in English and Speech-Drama; her master's degree from Cornell University, and her Ph.D. in Historical and Contemporary Communication is from Indiana University.

Formerly the provost and vice president of Academic Affairs at the University of North Alabama, Dr. Gebert has also held administrative positions at the State University and Community College System of Tennessee, serving as assistant vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, and later as Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the State System of Higher Education in Pennsylvania.
