Qari Najmul Hasan (; born 10 January 1984) is an internationally renowned reciter of the . He is also a teacher of hifz (memorisation of the Qur'an). Early life and education Hasan was born on 10 January 1984 to a Bengali Muslim family in the village of Nayantala in Barura, Comilla District, Bangladesh. He was the son of Muhammad Ishaq Mian and Jahanara Begum. Hasan completed his hifz (memorisation of the Qur'an) within two years. He completed his studies at the Sat Rawza Hafizia Madrasa in Chowk Bazaar, Dhaka. At the age of 17, he gained international recognition for his memorisation and recitation. Career In 2006, Hasan established the Tahfizul Quran was-Sunnah Madrasa where he currently serves as its founding principal. In 2012, Hasan reached 5th plate at the Islamic Republic of Iran's International Holy Quran Competition in Tehran. In 2013, he reached 4th place at the International Quran Recital Competition hosted in Malaysia. Hasan is a recipient of the Holy Quran Award. His students have also won this international award. Some of his most notable students are Mohammad Zakariya, Najmus Sakib, Abdullah al-Mamun, Mujahidul Islam and Shihab Ullah.
