Parlekars thought of building a memorial by his name. On 17 th October 1920 a public meeting was held. On 14 th January 1921 girls primary education was started. Again on 24sth April 1921 a meeting was held and Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association came into existence. The opening ceremony was done by V. Balkrishan. Originally the idea was of Gujarathi and Marathi medium school but only Marathi medium school was started. V.B. Paranjpe donated his land for school. M.B. Pingle was first Principle of School. School had many excellent teachers. Their efforts were suffessful and Parle Tilak Vidyalaya became a well known school. Its students added to its fame with their academic as well as extra curricular achievements.
It was seen that many of the students passed out from vernacular medium lack the skill of communication in English. So Parle Tilak Association started English medium school in the same building on 1982. Later a separate building was alloted for English medium.
