Phil Alan Fischer

Phil Alan Fischer is an American singer-songwriter from Wichita Falls, Texas. He is known outside the United States for his Christian solo albums and as the frontman for the band The EX Box Boys.
Early history
Fischer spent his youth in the native villages and wilderness towns of Northwest Alaska and the Canadian Yukon Territories.
In the summer of 1987 he returned to the Yukon to build a cabin on Native lands, and became well-known for surviving a bear attack. He was then granted access to roam freely on Native lands, where he served as a wilderness guide.
Music career
Fischer spent time in Seattle in the early 1990s playing guitar in garage bands and performing periodically in bars and taverns. In June 2003 he signed with 101distribution.com to put the album on store shelves, but after distribution fell through he decided to market abroad.
Fischer signed to the Chilean Papa Lopez Records in January 2004, and two months later the album was released in South America. "Wounded Soul" ultimately sold over two million copies in South America, Asia, and India.
Fisher's second album, "New Believer" was completed in the winter of 2009 and was released online and in foreign markets. The album included Norm Stockton, Rod Lincoln, and Ed Kerr, and was tracked with Justin Armstrong at Robert Lang Studios.
