Joey Ammo

Joey Ammo was the frontman of the post-grunge band Birdbrain. They managed minor success in the mid 1990s with the albums Bliss in 1995, Let's Be Nice, and the single "Youth of America". After 5 years together they broke up following an incident in Philadelphia where drummer Lance Cole left the band. Despite receiving good reviews and many missed opportunities to be launched into the mainstream, including almost bieing signed to Geffen Records in 1995, he remained relatively obscure. He now does solo work with Steve Nilson and released an album in 2006.

Personal life
Born in Roslindale, Ammo is currently living in the same place. He was a roadie for the band Snidley Whiplash and was friends with Mike Benway, Joe McCarthy and James Dennis before Birdbrain. He was also an active musician throughout the eighties and early nineties.
