Myles Vincent had formed in early 2007, receiving much notable success after winning a Triple J Unearthed competition in 2008, securing a spot at The Big Day Out festival in Australia, along with peers The Harlequin League, Dyscord and Campus Band winners Will Stoker and the Embers. The band had also won Gozzy Rock Competition in 2008.

Darrell remained a part of the next incarnation, and Luna Parade had gone on to support other notable acts such as Birds of Tokyo, Shihad and . . The group had received notable Triple J airplay for their single "Far Too Young". Darrell was content over the reception of the band at such an early stage of his career.
After joining Perth band, Carl Fox in early to mid 2010, the band has had notable success. Since its formation with Darrell, the band has signed to Sydney based Booking Agent, Archery Club. Since the band has released their debut album ‘Chunky Rainbow’ (released independently and out on iTunes in Australia) they have played slew of festivals including St Jeromes Laneway Festival, Parklife Festival, One Movement Festival and Northbridge Festival and has supported the likes of Miami Horror.
