Phatchance

Chance Waters, otherwise known as Phatchance, is an Australian hip hop artist and producer hailing from Sydney Australia. He acts as record producer for multiple independent acts in and around Australia, including Mind Over Matter. He has toured in support of many of Australia's biggest hip-hop acts, such as Bliss N Eso, Drapht, The Herd & Pez
Biography
Phatchance has been active in the Australian hip hop scene since 2003, and has appeared on a range of nationally distributed releases. He is best known for his busy touring schedule, having travelled the country both as a headline act and on support for many of Australia's notable hip-hop groups. In 2009 he played a sold out charity gig for Exodus Youth Worx as a dual-headliner with Coptic Soldier and Mind Over Matter in Sydney at the popular Oxford Arts Factory.
Natural Causes
From 2003 to 2007 Phatchance was one of the founding members of now defunct Sydney Hip-Hop group Natural Causes. Natural Causes were the flagship act on Nurcha Records before its closure of operations in early 2009. Prior to the collapse of Nurcha Records and the eventual collapse of the band they played upwards of 70 live shows across the country.

Phatchance consecutively held the top three spots on the Triple J Unearthed website main charts for three weeks in May 2009, one of only a handful of artists to ever achieve this, and the only hip-hop artist to do so. He is also amongst the most reviewed artists on the website.
