Yonas Michael

Yonas Michael (born November 21, 1989) is a young director, writer, and recording artist. In a few short years, he has created two reality programs, two full-length albums and four music videos, a short film, a successful podcast, and is currently writing his first novel.

Junior High Spy

In 2004, Yonas wrote and co-directed his first short film Junior High Spy, a movie about an undercover eighth grader on a mission to prevent a nation-wide internet virus.

Reality Shows

His first reality show Yonas: Chaotic began in May 2005 and documented his life in high school, focusing on the moving of his best friend and the beginning of a new era. The first season lasted for eight months and ended with his friend Kelley leaving.
In 2006, the series returned for its second and final season, a year filled with new friends and situations. In the series finale, Yonas decided to leave his small school and move on to a public school.

In January 2008, Yonas Michael returned to the camera for his reality mini-series Yonas Michael: Doing L.A. In the popular series, Yonas spent two weeks in Los Angeles, interviewing striking writers, running over skateboarders, and having a close encounter with David Beckham. The series consisted of two short episodes.

Music Career

In 2007, Yonas Michael decided to branch out into the music business with his debut album. Partykill was released in May 2007 under Shocker Records and managed decent feedback, despite its inability to generate public interest. It did spawn two singles, "Partykill" and "I Really Dislike You". In the summer of 2007, Yonas announced his decision to record a second album.
In between the two albums, Yonas developed The Yonas Michael Show, an iTunes podcast which reported on and parodied pop culture. The show debuted in September 2007 and ended in January 2008, with its series finale. Despite the backlash over fabricated interviews with certain celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan and David Beckham, the show garnered a surprisingly high amount of listeners and fans.
In December 4, 2007, Yonas released his new single and video for "Go Crazy" for the album Ordinary Boy. The album is slated for a February 2008 release.

Future Plans

Yonas is currently working on his first novel for publication Backstabbers Anonymous. He has confirmed his retirement in the music business, but plans to shoot more videos for his upcoming album and work on a new short film.
