Paul R. Nelson

Paul Raymond Nelson (born March 9, 1966 in St. Paul, Minnesota) is a resident of Woodville, Wisconsin, United States Marine Corps veteran, and real estate agent. He was the Republican candidate for U.S. Congress in Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district challenging incumbent Democrat Ron Kind in the 2006 mid-term election. He ultimately lost the election.
His negative campaign commercials against Kind — accusing Kind of spending tax dollars on sexually-related scientific studies rather than national defense — made him a celebrity of sorts on the Opie and Anthony Show. He even called in on November 3, 2006 and was interviewed and challenged Kind to have a debate on the show on November 6 — one day before the election. This did not occur, however.
