Pandey Narmedeshwor Sahay

Pandey Narmadeshwar Sahay (26 July 1909 in Kulharia, Patna, d. 24 April 1980) is a remowned Bhojpuri poet.
Pandey Narmadeshwar Sahay was born to Pandey Thakurjee Sahay in 1909. He was considered one of the most popular figures in Bhojpuri Literature. He was a poet, essayist, story-writer, chief editor and an advocate by profession. In spite of being part of such a busy profession, He dedicated his entire life for the development of Bhojpuri literature. His contribution towards Bhojpuri language was quite significant and he left an indelible mark, but the irony of life is that he is no longer reminiscent in people's memory. As a mark of respect and in honour of his contribution towards Hindi and Bhojpuri language, his picture is still present in Srimati Radhika Sinha Institute Library (which was established in 1924) popularly known as Sinha Library, Patna and Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan Bhawan, Patna, Kadamkuan, Patna - 800003. Some of his rare creation are still available in Sinha library and Bihar Hindi Sahitya Samelan.
In the field of Chaayavaad, Shri Kedarnath Mishra was his idol and he considered him as his guru. Some of the key contribution of work are:
