Outside Bozeman Magazine

Outside Bozeman is an American magazine focused on outdoor recreation in and around Bozeman, Montana. It was started in 1999 by two Montana State University alumni, Mike England and Jim Harris. It serves as a local's guidebook to the active outdoor lifestlye of southwest Montana.
Notable contributors include writers Rick Bass, Keith McCafferty, Greg Keeler, Jonathan Weber, Alan Kesselheim, and the late Hans Saari; and photographers Kris Erickson, Gordon Wiltsie, Dan Cox, and Denver Bryan. Given its location in the popular mountain town of Bozeman, the magazine has profiled many famous local outdoor personalities, including Alex Lowe, Conrad Anker, Bud Lilly, Tim Cahill, and David Quammen.
In 2009 it had an average circulation of 20,000. Mike England is still the publisher and editor-in-chief.
