Adventure Travel is a bi-monthly magazine published in the UK. The magazine was launched in 1995 with an editorial focus on outdoor activities including hiking, walking, mountaineering, climbing and camping. The original title of the magazine was Independent and Specialist Travel, which was changed to Adventure Travel within the first year. The launch editor was Rebecca Pugh and the founder and publisher Alun Davies. The magazine was originally based in Redditch, Worcestershire, England and moved to its current location in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England in 2002. The magazine has a full time staff of four and most of the feature content is commissioned from freelance journalists. The magazine is the sole title of the publishing company Adventure Travel.
