Oliver Liam Richman (born September 11, 2000) is an American pop singer, songwriter, pianist and actor having performed on stage, television, film, commercials and in the studio since he was four years old. His debut music video of “Defying Gratvity” (2010) gained almost 100,000 views on YouTube as of August 21, 2013. His follow-up holiday music video release of “One Little Christmas Tree” (2010) caught the attention of Stevie Wonder who invited him to share the stage at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. for his 2010 House Full of Toys Concert for a live audience of 7500 people. The success of that performance led to his featured appearance on Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios “The Young Icons.” Career Richman made his acting debut in "Man Overboard," directed by Oliver Robins. His first music video "Defying Gravity," was released in October, 2010 and has received almost 100,000 views as of August 23, 2013. In December 2010, legendary icon, Stevie Wonder, invited 9 year old Richman to sing and share the stage with him at the 15th Annual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles after he heard Richman’s recording and subsequent music video, a remake of Wonder’s “One Little Christmas Tree (penned by Richman’s grandfather, songwriter, Ron Miller). After his performance at the benefit for which he received a standing ovation from 7500 people, Richman was invited by Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios to appear on "The Young Icons," a nationally syndicated television show about young people changing the world. Personal life Richman was born on September 11, 2000 in West Hills, California and currently resides in Los Angeles. He is the oldest child of producer/singer Lisa Dawn Miller and pianist, Howard Richman. His stepfather is producer/comedian Sandy Hackett. Richman has two younger sisters, actress/comedian Ashleigh Hackett and Danica Richman. Oliver began singing at the age of 4, recorded his first single, “Music in Me,” at the age of 5 and had made his live stage debut at the Post Street Theatre in San Francisco at the age of 6. Oliver’s mother, Lisa Dawn Miller (daughter of legendary songwriter Ron Miller), is a producer, director, writer and singer, and serves as President of the Hackett Miller Company. His stepfather, Sandy Hackett (son of comedian, Buddy Hackett) is a comedian, actor, director, writer and producer. Together, they produce "," a live musical and theatrical production on tour throughout the United States. Relatives Richman’s grandfather, Ron Miller, was an American popular songwriter and record producer, whose songs include "For Once In My Life," "Touch Me In the Morning," "A Place in the Sun," "Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday," "Heaven Help Us All," "," "Someday at Christmas" and "If I Could." His songs have won multiple awards including Grammy Awards for "Heaven Help Us All" in 2005, the last song ever recorded by Ray Charles. "For Once In My Life" is one of the most recorded songs in history, having been recorded by over 400 major label artists. In 2007, "For Once in My Life" won multiple Grammy Awards for the Tony Bennett/Stevie Wonder collaboration and was most recently inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for 2009. In 2007, Miller was awarded (posthumously) the Heroes and Legends Lifetime Achievement Award in Songwriting. Richman’s paternal grandfather, Peter Mark Richman, is an American actor who starred in films and on television, and has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway and in numerous theaters across the country. Coming from the Actors Studio and the Broadway Theater, he has appeared and starred in over 500 projects including the films: "Friendly Persuasion," "The Black Orchid," "The Strange One," "The Dark Intruder," "For Singles Only" and "Naked Gun 2 1/2." Richman's step grandfather, Buddy Hackett, was an American comedian and actor who starred in numerous films, on television and on Broadway. His film credits include "The Love Bug," "The Little Mermaid," "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," "Music Man," and "God's Little Acre” and “Lou and Bud.” Hackett became known to a wider audience when he appeared on television throughout the decades as a frequent guest on such talk shows as those of Jack Paar and Arthur Godfrey. Hackett was also a guest on Jack Paar's last Tonight show in 1962. He was on the Johnny Carson Show as a frequent guest. According to Trivial Pursuit, Hackett has the most appearances of any guest in the history of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. A collection of these appearances is available on YouTube. During this time, he also appeared as a panelist on What's My Line? Hackett performed live throughout the country and was one of Las Vegas’ top draws, headlining at the major casino hotels for over 5 decades.
