Gordon Dexheimer

Gordon Dexheimer (born on August 22, 1951, in Fargo, North Dakota), is an American actor, lawyer, teacher and writer.

Background
Dexheimer began his career as a radio disc jockey at the age of 17, later having his own television talk show The Goodmorning Show on ABC affiliate KTHI-TV in Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota at the age of 19. It was there he met Robert Ivers, a former Hollywood actor, who co-starred in films with Elvis Presley and Jerry Lewis. Ivers introduced Dexheimer to Jerry Lewis, who encouraged him to pursue a film acting career. However, rather than make the move to Hollywood, Dexheimer remained in Fargo where he continued working in radio and television. He worked as a college instructor, high school teacher, writer, and a lawyer.

Dexheimer has acted in numerous theatrical productions, including a number of William Shakespeare plays where he has portrayed such characters as Romeo, Macbeth, Duke Orsino, Theseus and Oberon. Dexheimer appeared as Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol for several seasons at Theatre Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee, one of the oldest live theatres in the Southern United States. He has also portrayed such famous figures as actor John Barrymore, singer-songwriter Hank Williams, and Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth President of the United States.

Film and television career
Dexheimer made his debut as a film actor in 2005 when he appeared as a prison guard in Walk The Line, which chronicled the life of American country singer Johnny Cash. He appeared in the 2006 comedy film Send In The Clown then in 2007 the short comedy film 4 On The Floor and the comedy film Streaker.

Legal cases
Dexheimer currently represents the city of Fargo in North Dakota where he works as a city prosecutor. Earlier in his career he was managing attorney for a legal assistance program in Fargo.
