The Nashville Kangaroos is an Australian/American social and sports club based in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States. It competes in Australian rules football (often called "Aussie rules") in the MAAFL and USAFL National Championships. It also organizes netball in the region, including both the Nashville Netball League and participation in the Pacific Coast Netball League. History The club was founded in 1997. It is one of the oldest Aussie Rules clubs in the United States and founded Nashville's popular annual Australian Festival. The club holds the record for Aussie Rules attendance in the USA, regularly drawing hundreds of spectators to its home ground. It has an ongoing involvement in college Aussie Rules in the US through its support of the Vanderbilt Australian Football Club, which is a Vanderbilt University Sport Club. |
