Coorparoo Kings Australian Rules Football Club was founded in December 1996 by Craig Dixon,a Pit Boss from Treasury Casino.Originally called Treasury Kings,the club was born after a social game between the Brisbane and Gold Coast casino staff at Morningside football club in August 96'.The Treasury team won by over 20 goals. and because such talent existed on the Treasury staff ,the Kings were born.Coorparoo Kings went on to win premierships in the local Brisbane competition in 2000 and 2001.Firmly ensconsed in division one the Kings home games are played at Jack Esplen oval at Morningside.
