Kirkbymoorside F.C.

Kirkbymoorside Football Club are an English association football club based in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire currently playing in the Wearside League. They are nicknamed The Moorsiders and traditionally play in an all-red home strip and all-white away strip.

History

Kirkbymoorside Football Club was founded in 1887 and up until the 2007-08 season they played in the Teesside League. After finishing runners-up in the Teesside League Division One in the 2007-08 season, they were succesful in their application for promotion to the Wearside League for the 2008-09 season.
Their elevation to level 7 of the National League System would have made them eligible to compete in the FA Cup and FA Vase competitions, however their ground was not up to the required standards set by the FA in time to enter these competitions for the 2008-09 season.

Stadium

The home of Kirkbymoorside Football Club is the Kirkbymoorside Sports Club. The ground is all-standing, there are home and away changing rooms and white concrete dugouts for the management staff and substitutes. The club are continuing to make improvements to the ground in order to meet FA regulations for entry into the national FA Cup and FA Vase competitions for the 2009-10 season.
