N. Arun is an Indian Politician and Film director who has worked predominantly on Malayalam films. At present he is a member of Communist Party of India Ernakulam district secretariate and state joint secretary of All India Youth Federation Kerala fraction. He is representing Valakom ward in Ernakulam district panchayath N. Arun has entered the public arena through student politics. He has been involved with politics for over 27 years. He first served in 1999 as the President All India Students Federation (AISF) for his home constituency, Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India. Joined All India Students Federation (AISF) in 1993 when studying in 5th class. The All India Students Federation is the oldest student organization in India founded on 12 August 1936 influenced by left-wing ideology.
