Jalaj Srivastava (born 1974) is a Canadian businessman. He is member of the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer of Finolution Inc. Education Srivastava attended the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat in India from 1992-1996 where he earned his Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. After moving to Canada in 1997, he enrolled at McGill University obtaining his MBA in Finance in 1999. After being hired at Imperial Oil/Exxon Mobil he decided to get further education to pursue his career there. Srivastava attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for their Enterprise Leadership Program. Then, in 2007, Srivastava attended the Edwards School of Business to get his CMA in Strategy and Performance Management. In 2015 Srivastava obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in Canada. He later obtained a certificate in Gas Business Leadership and General Leadership Program from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Working life Pre-Imperial work In 1996, before attending McGill University, Srivastava worked as an engineering officer for the Bharat Petroleum Corporation. Srivastava worked for the McGill Business Consulting Group for ten months in 1998 as a management consultant while he attended university. He helped start many small and medium size businesses. Imperial Oil After university, Srivastava was hired by Imperial Oil, then headquartered in Toronto. Originally hired as a financial analyst he moved up the ranks to eventually become the senior financial advisor and the Head Pension Manager for Exxon Mobil at the Imperial Oil office. Personal life Srivastava lives in Calgary, the current headquarters location with his wife and two children. He is a board member on the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Association. Srivastava is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi and Gujarati.
