Mujtaba Haider Zaidi

Mujtaba Haider Zaidi (born December 13, 1975) is a Pakistani research-writer, columnist, lawyer, bi-lingual poet, prose-writer and pioneer playwright of the Theatre of the Absurd in the history of Urdu Literature. He has been working for the top academia and research-writing companies of the USA and UK since November 2005. His first absurdist play was published under the title Mazaron Ke Phool ("Graveyard Flowers" in English) in December 2008. Zaidi started his journalism career from a Pakistan English newspaper The Frontier Post in February 2009. Besides, he is a practicing lawyer of Lahore High Court.
Zaidi is the son of former senior Vice President HBL Pakistan Syed Ijmal Haider Zaidi (1949-2009), grandson of the pioneer Muslim B.Sc engineer and Aligarh College graduate of British India Syed Muhammad Ibrahim Zaidi (1890-1958), great grandson of the Chieftain of Shahabad Town British India Engineer Syed Ghulam Shabbir Zaidi (1860-1949), and nephew of former Pakistan bureaucrat / retired member of Civil Service of Pakistan Ijlal Haider Zaidi.
