Moon2.0

The term Moon2.0 was proposed by Google related to the so called Google Lunar X-Prize. Back to the Moon is the meaning of Moon2.0, a try to establish a permanent manned base on the Moon. This contest was born under an open participation around the world. The key points to return to the Moon as a permanent human presence are:

In this sense, the global network GENSO was a good initiative to provide communications to satellites without a strong butget.

An example of private initiative is the SpaceX.
Dedicated tools
In this line, an example of open source tool is the simulator called Moon2.0 which was a tool developed by Joshua Tristancho and programmed by Juan Martínez since August 2009 in order to design in an easy way, a whole mission to the Moon, from the Propellant or Engine selection, the Launcher design, the Trajectory, the Hover and the Lunar Rover. This project is hold by Team FREDNET, one of the GLXP contestant and was presented to the community in January 2010 in a GLXP Blog Post.
