Monty Guild

Montague "Monty" Guild Jr. (b. 1942) is an American business executive. He founded the investment management firm, Guild Investment Management in 1971, where he is currently Chief Investment Officer.
Education
He holds a B.A. in Economics from University of California and an MBA with honors from California State University.
Career
He was an analyst at a bank and hedge fund from 1968 to 1970. In 1971, Monty Guild Jr. founded Guild Investment Management in Southern California and serves as its Chief Investment Officer. In 1996, he placed 95th on a list of contributors to US political parties over the prior year, on account of the $171,000 he gave to the Natural Law Party. He announced in 2003 that he was bankrolling the construction of a proposed "Peace Palace" in Los Angeles.
