Tony Safoian

Tony Safoian (born July 4, 1978, Yerevan, Armenia) is an Armenian American entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California. Safoian is the President and Chief Executive Officer of SADA Systems, Inc., a privately held cloud computing consulting firms founded in 2000. Under Safoian’s leadership, SADA Systems became one of the first 10 Google Apps for Enterprise Partners worldwide and initial contributor to the Google Apps Open Source provisioning tool kit. Additionally, Safoian led SADA to become one of the nation’s first Microsoft Cloud Accelerate partners. SADA Systems, Inc. has developed a proven track record of successful implementations of both Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 solutions.
Early life and education
Safoian immigrated to Los Angeles from Armenia in 1987 at the age of 9. Safoian received a Bachelor’s of Administration in Philosophy, plus a Minor in Management from the University of California, Irvine in 2001. He went on to earn his Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business from 2008 to 2010.
Professional career
SADA Systems was founded by the Safoian family. Utilizing the programming knowledge of Hovig Safoian, current Chief Technology Officer of SADA Systems, SADA was established in 2000 alongside Annie Safoian, current Chief Financial Officer of SADA Systems. Tony Safoian previously worked for a faltering dot-com company, but found himself gravitating towards assisting his family to build and grow SADA Systems. In 2003, Tony Safoian became the President and CEO of SADA Systems, developing its current business model as a cloud services and IT consulting company.
SADA has completed some of the largest cloud migration projects in the United States, including the migration of the Los Angeles Community College District to the Microsoft Cloud and Chicago Public Schools to Google Apps.
Awards and recognition
Safoian has received local and national recognition for his leadership in the cloud computing space, including being recently named a semifinalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 program in the Greater Los Angeles region. The Ernst & Young award recognizes entrepreneurs who have demonstrated success and excellence in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to businesses and their communities. In 2012, Safoian was also listed in CRN’s 30th Anniversary list, “Generation Next: 30 in their Thirties,” a list which recognizes young entrepreneurs for taking steps in their career to positively impact the movements made in the IT channel.
