Kimdo Bethel(Boykin) (born 1985) is a US American Professional boxer in the heavyweight division best known for defeating several stars such as Mike Wilson and Jonte Willis in his amateur career. Amateur 6 ft 2, 218 lbs Bethel grew up in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn but is now hailing from Albany, New York. The right-hander who occasionally switches to southpaw (switchhitter) won a minor title with the Empirestategames in 2006. He has been in a lot of close fights with the stars of the division. At the 2007 US championships he defeated reigning champion Jonte Willis (13:13, countback) before losing on another countback (12:12) to William Moore in the next round, at the trials he lost to #3 ranked Lenroy Thompson (9:10), beat two-time champion Wilson (15:14), lost to 2007 champion Michael Hunter jr. (6:16) but beat Wilson again before getting outpointed a second time by Hunter. Pro Kimdo Bethel won his professional boxing debut by TKO on 8/7/09. Bethel followed this victory with a TKO win on 3/27/10 to go 2-0 as a professional.
